Haiti Earthquake Of 2010: A Call For Help
Listen, people. Turn on CNN for two minutes if you haven’t yet. For those of you under a rock, a 7.0 earthquake crumbled Haiti yesterday, and there are estimated to be hundreds of thousands of casualties. The country has been pretty much leveled, Red Cross is having trouble keeping medical supply stocked, and the relief effort is far from over. We here at MASHtheMEDIA.com encourage you to do what you can to assist our military and all the legitimate relief foundations out there trying to send aid to Haiti in this time of catastrophe.
Wyclef Jean has released a statement pleading for help via his Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund - a trustworthy foundation originally founded by Clef back in 2005 to provide scholarships to disadvantaged Haitian children that has (since yesterday’s unfortunate events) shifted focus over to the earthquake – which you can easily donate $5 to through your mobile phone bill by texting the word “YELE” to 501501. You can also send a $10 donation via Red Cross by simply texting “HAITI” to 90999. I’m sure there are also plenty of local food/clothes drives in your area as well. If you can spare it, do it. These people need as much help as they can get, and badly…
Americans trying to locate family members in Haiti should contact the State Department at (888) 407-4747.
M.A.S.H Music is also working with various other artists, labels, and promoters in attempts to organize a benefit concert/party to raise money, food, clothes, and supplies for the Haiti relief effort. If you are interested in getting involved or contributing, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me at CreasyReg@gmail.com!
R.I.P. Karim “Streetz” Muwakkil
As much as I hate to black cloud the website, it wouldn’t be right to move forward without acknowledging that M.A.S.H Music as well as all of our friends, family, and music associates are all in mourning today after news broke last night that a close friend of our’s was taken from us.
Karim “Streetz” Muwakkil played a huge role in the local hip-hop scene of central New Jersey, being a key factor in networking upcoming artists and producers with club owners and promoters, as well as staying on everyone’s asses to make sure we were all consistent in our work habits if ever it seemed anyone was slacking (haha).
We were presently in the studio working with Streetz to wrap up his latest project – which was yet to be released, but bordering completion – and we look forward to help finalize that very project for you hip-hop heads to enjoy. Below is a track that was recently recorded for his new mixtape. As a dope artist and a great friend, he will definitely be missed. Our condolences go out to his family and friends…

Chris Brown Pleads Guilty, Poll Included

Chris Brown pleads guilty to felony assault.
So the whole Chris Brown/Rihanna thing was seen in court today, and long story short Brown plead guilty to felony assault charges for a plea bargain of five years probation and six months community service in his home state of Virginia. Rihanna was set to testify today, so it’s no wonder he plead out before she took the stand lol. He won’t be formally sentenced until August 5th anyway. Uhh, not to say he doesn’t deserve everything he has or may have had coming his way for putting his hands on Ri-Ri like that, but am I the only one who thinks this isn’t that great of a plea “bargain” for a first-time offender? I mean, the average 9-to-5 dude could have made out better than that with his first offense. I thought rich and famous people were supposed to get special treatment? Whatever lol, anyway I guess that whole episode is finally over. Now give it a few days, he and Rihanna will be sneaking around together again, and he’ll put out a rap album with him spittin hot 16′s about being a felon and beating hoes. Only in the wonderful world of entertainment. Goodnight, folks!
Max B. Found Guilty Of Murder, Final BBQ Footage

Biggavel gets the big gavel (lol sorry I had to).
Unfortunately bad news hit the hip-hop scene yesterday, when rapper Max B. (formerly of Jim Jones‘ Byrdgang imprint) was found guilty on 9 of 11 counts of felony murder and conspiracy in the death of David Taylor, who was shot point-blank range in the face by Max‘s step-brother Kelvin Leerdam in the now-infamous botched robbery attempt at a Holiday Inn in Northern New Jersey back in 2006. What really fucks me up with this whole situation is that his ex-girlfriend, who was involved in the entire thing, actually turned coat and testified against Max, and still got sentenced to 18 years in prison! Like, WTF is the point of snitching if you’re damn-near doing life regardless? At that point the bitch may as well have just taken it like a man…for lack of better terminology (and pause for the pause-patrols lol).
Max B. has released an official statement via AllHipHop.com saying, “Thank you to all my fans for the continuous love and support during my trial. With the advice of my attorney, family and friends I’ve decided to appeal my conviction, with full belief that I will be found innocent of all charges. This has been a long journey but, I have full faith that there will be a positive outcome and I will be cleared of all erroneous allegations.”
Max and his co-defendant step-brother have motioned for an appeal, and will receive final sentencing July 30th, where both face a possible maximum life sentence. Ouch.
Anyway, check out this exclusive footage of Max B.‘s final BBQ last Saturday (June 6th), featuring French Montana, DJ Lazy K, Dame Grease, and more (courtesy of my dude Tom Hedge for InTheBoxTV -- big thanks to him for sending this my way). It’s just crazy how this dude comes home from doing a long bid, generates a crazy underground buzz in what seems like no time, and then *poof*………
More Nude Photos Leaked, Rihanna This Time?
Okay WTF is going on here? No more than 48 hours after nude photos of R&B singer Cassie surfaced on the net, another wave of pictures have “leaked”: this time allegedly displaying R&B/pop diva Rihanna posing in various risqué shots. Now unlike Cassie‘s situation, there has yet to be confirmation that these photos are in fact Rihanna, however the photos do appear to be her…whoever she is, she’s sporting a nipple ring as well! Owww! Well according to TMZ, lawyers from Island Def Jam Group sent out letters demanding that the “unauthorized photos purported to be Rihanna” be removed, claiming the release of the photos was a “violation of the Artist’s rights.” Oh, and it’s being speculated that it may be Chris Brown in the last photo, and the tattoos definitely do match up. Wow. Anyway, see for yourself and you be the judge! Stay tuned for more updates.
Cassie’s Computer “Hacked”, Photos Leaked*
Good morning errrrrbuddy! We kick off the day with Cassie claiming her personal computer was hacked after a couple photos of her posing topless leaked to the internet this morning. Though I can’t honestly say I’m disappointed, I can say everyone seems suspicious about how these photos leaked. Cassie herself posted a message on her Twitter, as well as her official website LoveCassie.com, early this morning responding almost instantaneously to the leaked shots of her pierced breasteses being all over the net saying, “it seems that someone has hacked into my computer, that’s real foul and evil. Now stop acting like you never seen a titty before.”
Okay no disrespect to you, Cass, but it’s not that we never saw a titty before…we just hadn’t seen your titty! WTF lol are we not supposed to be surprised to wake up to this?
Anyway, although I do have a feeling these pictures were intended to be seen, out of respect for the possibility that they weren’t and she’s actually being sincere, we will not be posting the uncensored photos. Google it or something…
*Update: Okay, now this morning another picture “leaked” pretty much letting it all out. Let’s just say her tits aren’t the only private piercings she has! Owww…

M.A.S.H Music has to play the fence on this one. We know and fucks with both these artists from the Bronx.
