Listen, people. Turn on CNN for two minutes if you haven’t yet. For those of you under a rock, a 7.0 earthquake crumbled Haiti yesterday, and there are estimated to be hundreds of thousands of casualties. The country has been pretty much leveled, Red Cross is having trouble keeping medical supply stocked, and the relief effort is far from over. We here at MASHtheMEDIA.com encourage you to do what you can to assist our military and all the legitimate relief foundations out there trying to send aid to Haiti in this time of catastrophe.
Wyclef Jean has released a statement pleading for help via his Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund - a trustworthy foundation originally founded by Clef back in 2005 to provide scholarships to disadvantaged Haitian children that has (since yesterday’s unfortunate events) shifted focus over to the earthquake – which you can easily donate $5 to through your mobile phone bill by texting the word “YELE” to 501501. You can also send a $10 donation via Red Cross by simply texting “HAITI” to 90999. I’m sure there are also plenty of local food/clothes drives in your area as well. If you can spare it, do it. These people need as much help as they can get, and badly…
Americans trying to locate family members in Haiti should contact the State Department at (888) 407-4747.
M.A.S.H Music is also working with various other artists, labels, and promoters in attempts to organize a benefit concert/party to raise money, food, clothes, and supplies for the Haiti relief effort. If you are interested in getting involved or contributing, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me at CreasyReg@gmail.com!
Frenyc may not still be the roster it was once was in the early 2000’s, but best believe we still all support and keep in touch with each other one way or the other. The homie U-Kno is still doing his damn thing, and is back at it with a new heavily island-influenced record and accommodating music video by G.I.N.tv! Big shout out to U-Kno and J.P. Groucho…we go way back! Brooklyn, do as you should and stand up! Bap! Bap! Bap!
Sidenote: I see a hundred and forty-six and a half U-Kno t-shirts in the video, which mind you I did the graphic for, and still ain’t got one of them damn shirts for myself. *ahem* Can somebody at G.I.N.tv make that happen LMAO.

I had to post this, cuz it’s just fucking hilarious. Apparently Qualmes and Biff Lawson were trashing each other in a Tinychat earlier, and somebody copy and pasted the dialogue into a text-to-voice video template, and this is the result. If you don’t find this funny, you should probably find the nearest double barrel shotgun to perform CPR on. Enjoy, folks.
2009 Dub Awards @ Pyramid in NYC: Sunday, December 27th!
We just wanted to a) inform everybody about an upcoming event that anyone with their ear to the underground should be aware of, and b) take a moment to salute a major pioneering movement who has over the past short year become a very big part in the M.A.S.H Music progress bar. It was brought to our attention recently (shout to Bobby Crillz) that we were nominated in the upcoming 2009 Dub Awards for the “Strongest Crew” category, and we are honored/excited to be a part of this year’s festivities…even if we are up against our good ol’ pal J. Monopoly and the whole Operation Industry Shut Down camp LMAO: who by the way have a new CD dropping tomorrow called “Leaders Of The True School”, so Hip-Hop heads beware. Anyway, respect to the entire EODub family, everybody who supports us and comes to events (or fronts like they will and doesn’t show lol), and same goes for every other artist that is (or isn’t) up for a Dub Award this year! Best of luck to everybody and we look forward to not only being present on the 27th for the show, but also yet another amazing year of amazing performances at the legendary Pyramid come 2010!
